Tips for First-Timers.

No Experience Needed

Ernie welcomes all skill levels. He'll teach you casting, hook sets, and fish handling from scratch. Many guests catch their first fish ever on these trips.

Ask Questions

There are no dumb questions on the boat. Ernie loves talking about the fish, the river, and the techniques. The more you ask, the more you learn.

Dress for the Weather

The number one tip from experienced anglers: layer up. It's always cooler on the water than on land, especially in the morning. You can always take layers off.

Relax and Enjoy

This isn't a competition. Whether you catch one fish or twenty, it's all about getting out on the water and having a good time.

Safety First

Safe on the Water.

Your safety is Ernie's top priority - always. He's a fully licensed, insured, and certified fishing guide and a member of the United Guides and Outfitters of New Brunswick (UGONB).

The vessel is fully insured and compliant with Transport Canada regulations. All required safety equipment is aboard at all times.
